The Basic Aviation Security Officers course is a mandatory introduction training for new employees, involved in aviation security functions and covers ALL areas any aviation ground security officers must be trained in, to enable them to work within the aviation security industry.
It will train basic airport security personnel to enforce, monitor and apply airport security preventive measures.
This course can be developed to meet different requirements, different job specifications and our clients individual needs but also to meet the ICAO, NCAA and DFT standards. Modules will include:
- • Introduction to the course
- • Legal Powers, Role of the Police and Incident Reporting
- • Working at the airport – Familiarization
- • Access control – people
- • Recognition of Firearms, Explosives and Incendiary Devices (RFX) and Dangerous Goods
- • Access control – vehicles
- • Emergencies and fire prevention
- • Patrolling and guarding
- • Passenger screening and physical search of passenger
- • Walk through Metal Detectors (WTMD’s) and Hand held Metal Detectors (HHMD’s)
- • X – Ray examination of baggage
- • Physical inspection of baggage
- • Searching and securing a sterile holding area
- • Escorting people and consignments
